A Recognized ECM
AQUIS Optimization Solutions deliver quantifiable energy savings from your AHU coils. Our patented Coil and Tube Restoration processes utilize a high-performance probiotic technology to unlock lost coil capacity. This paves the way for a significant reduction in energy consumption as seen in the graph below.
“I’ve worked with AQUIS in successfully restoring hundreds of air handlers. Their restoration processes have been a key ECM for our large government projects.”
— Tom M., AQUIS ESCO Partner
Reduce Fan Energy by Increasing Airflow
- Removing physical blockages improves airflow for the AHU by decreasing the pressure drop across the coils. The average airflow improvement achieved is a 10% reduction in fan speed, equating to a 27% reduction in overall energy usage.
Reduce System Energy by Increasing Coil Effectiveness
- A micron-thick biofilm layer can hinder the coil capacity by as much as 30%. Removing these from the coil fin and tube surfaces paves the way for an improved heat transfer, decreasing the load on the central plant equipment, such as the chillers and pumps, while reducing energy consumption.
PROVEN RESULTS
AQUIS Optimization Solutions has a proven track record of results. The following table represents average results from energy studies conducted on over 20 AHUs nationwide. We have helped our customers achieve ASHRAE recommended air changes per hour (ACH) and indoor air quality (IAQ) standards. The energy savings achieved accounted for around 47 metric tonnes of CO2 offset per year per AHU. AQUIS removed approximately 100% of the biological load from all the coil and tube surfaces based on ATP surface testing.
